One person was killed and two others were injured, including one who was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital, after a sedan and a truck collided head-on Monday in Decatur, police said.
Morgan County 911 received a call of a two-vehicle wreck Monday on Point Mallard Parkway near Refugee Headquarters Road, said Decatur police.
Officers with the department’s Traffic Division along with Decatur firefighters and EMS responded.
Officers determined a sedan and a truck were involved in a head-on collision.
A passenger in the sedan was taken to Decatur Morgan Hospital where he died of his injuries.
The truck driver was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment while the driver of the sedan was taken to Decatur Morgan Hospital for treatment.
The wreck remained under investigation Monday evening.
