BRIDGEPORT — Seven people were displaced on Monday after a fire broke out at a Coleman Street home, according to a city official.

The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to the 270 block of Coleman Street at around 3 p.m. for the reported structure fire, said Shawnna White, the public information officer for the city’s Office of Emergency Management.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 15 minutes, according to White.

There were no reported injuries, but the American Red Cross is assisting with helping seven adults who were displaced by the fire, White said.
