Nine Ayyappa devotees injured in Hubballi because of fire

In a fire mishap reportedly caused due to gas cylinder leakage at a temple in Hubballi, nine Ayyappa devotees have suffered injuries.

The mishap occurred during the wee hours on Sunday (December 22, 2024), when the Ayyappa devotees were sleeping at Shiva Temple in Achhavva Colony of Unakal in Hubballi after performing late night ritual and singing bhajans.

According to preliminary information, leakage from a LPG gas stove is said to be the cause of the fire. Others woke up on hearing screams of the devotees and rushed them to the hospital. All nine who have suffered burn injuries are being treated at KMC- RI hospital in Hubballi.
