A rare Russian aerial attack on the heart of the Ukrainian capital early on Wednesday killed two people, injured at least six and damaged a residential building in Kyiv. The strikes came hours after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in a New Year’s Day message, vowed that “no cruise missile” could defeat the nation.
