Helpline launched for promoting food processing industries in Andhra Pradesh 

The helpline will provide information related to the Food Processing Policy and enable entrepreneurs carry out their businesses smoothly, says Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharat. File

Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharat launched a one-stop helpline number — 04045901100 — for promoting food processing industries on January 3, 2025 (Friday).

“It is aimed at strengthening the food processing sector,” Mr. Mr. Bharat said. The main objective of the initiative was to enhance transparency in the government policies and facilitate the establishment of food processing units, he said in an official release.

The helpline would provide information related to the Food Processing Policy-4.0 and clarify any doubts, thereby enabling the entrepreneurs to carry out their businesses smoothly. It would also extend support at all stages of the industrial projects.

Besides, it would guide the micro-entrepreneurs in identifying the food processing business opportunities in their areas, and resolves issues related to loans raised under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme.
