PHOENIX — State Route 51 northbound near Greenway Road was blocked Sunday morning when a vehicle was stopped as part of an ongoing investigation, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Several law enforcement vehicles could be seen on the roadway from ADOT cameras as police worked the scene.
“Tactical units” were used to stop the vehicle, police said.
“Officers were able to get the vehicle stopped using a grappler,” police said.
The vehicle’s only occupant was detained, according to police. Other details were not released.
State Route 51 has now reopened.
