Australia captain Steve Smith, after winning the toss, said the looks a pretty dry surface with dry squares and his team will look to put some runs on the board.

He adds that that the pitch might take some turn as well and that Australia have made two changes – Cooper Connolly and Tanveer Sangha coming in for Matt Short and Spencer Johnson respectively.

“Steve Smith: We’ll have a bat. Looks a pretty dry surface. The guys had a couple of sessions, ready to go. It should take turn. Very good side – India. Two changes. Cooper Connolly comes in for Short, Sangha comes in for Johnson,” Steve Smith said after winning the toss.

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma, after losing his 14th straight toss, said that he and his side were prepared to either bat or ball and when one is in two minds, it is better to lose the toss.

Even though India have played three games so far on the same square, Rohit said the surface was a bit different. He added that India are unchanged.

“I was prepared to do both. When you’re confused, it’s better to lose the toss. The pitch keeps changing its nature. You have to play good cricket. We’ve played good cricket in all three games and that’s what we’ll try to do. It’s going to be challenging. We are playing with the same team. We want to continue from where we left. Now that we are bowling first, we have to bowl well and restrict them to as low as possible,” Rohit Sharma said after losing the toss.
