U.S. Postal Inspection Service Offers Tips to Fight Scams as Part of National Consumer Protection Week

The United States Postal Inspection Service is using this week to offer reminders and tips to combat fraud and scams as part of National Consumer Protection Week.

Specifically, postal inspectors are reminding consumers to be aware of the person on the other end of digital communications as they may not be who they claim to be.

“The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is participating in National Consumer Protection Week (NCPW) from March 2-8, 2025, to educate American consumers on the dangers of imposter scams and how to avoid them,” said Charles W. Gerhart who is a local U.S. Postal Inspector. “NCPW is a grassroots campaign focusing on consumers understanding their rights, while providing tips to consumers on preventing frauds and scams.”
