Arkansas makes the NCAA Tournament, competing with Kansas

The Razorbacks Men’s Basketball team won five of their last seven games to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament as a 10 seed. They will play against Kansas on Thursday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After an absence in last year’s NCAA Tournament, the Arkansas Men’s Basketball team has been selected to participate in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

The selection committee unveiled their 68-team bracket on Sunday evening which included the Razorbacks earning a 10 seed facing off against the 7 seed, Kansas, in Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday, March 20th.

Kansas and Arkansas squared off against each other in October in a preseason exhibition game that saw the Razorbacks win 85-69.

Kansas comes into the tournament with a 21-12 record overall and an 11-9 record in the Big 12. Hunter Dickinson is the Jayhawks’ leading scorer with 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.

Arkansas comes into the tournament with a 20-13 record overall and an 8-10 record in the Southeastern Conference.

Despite an 0-5 start to the conference season, the Razorbacks finished the regular season winning four of its last five games.

In last week’s SEC tournament, Arkansas took down South Carolina 72-68 before losing to Ole Miss in the final seconds, 83-81.

The Hogs have dealt with injuries all season long including freshman point guard Boogie Fland who injured his thumb in the Florida game on Jan. 11th.

Fland missed the remainder of the season with the injury but Arkansas announced on Saturday that he will be returning to practice and is “anticipated” to be able to play in the NCAA Tournament.

Arkansas has also been without Adou Thiero since Feb. 22nd. He is reportedly “doubtful” to play in the tournament.
