PHOENIX — An investigation is now underway after a man and a woman were found dead inside a south Phoenix home Monday morning, police announced.
Police were called to the home near 83rd Avenue and Broadway Road for reports of unknown trouble. The pair was found dead inside, according to a police report.
The preliminary investigation shows that the man, who has not been identified, shot and killed 41-year-old Daisy Ruiz before killing himself, officials said.
Their bodies were discovered by Ruiz’s relatives who were concerned after not seeing or hearing from her, police said.
The investigation is still in its early stages and details are extremely limited at this time.
The next-of-kin identification for the man is ongoing.
