Authorities have released the name of a woman who died when she fell from the top of a downtown Birmingham parking deck.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday identified the woman as Lauren Leath Rubino. She was 42 and lived in Birmingham.
Police and Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex deck at 2200 Ninth Ave. N. late Monday.
They determined Rubino fell from the sixth floor to the sidewalk below. It wasn’t immediately clear when the fall happened, said Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates.
She was pronounced dead at 11:40 p.m.
Detectives have reviewed video surveillance from that area and there was no immediate indication of foul play, but the investigation is ongoing.
