Several resource centers are being established to help those who were impacted by the severe weather and tornadoes across Arkansas on March 14.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Nearly two weeks ago, the state of Arkansas experienced powerful storms, and even some tornadoes, which left behind significant destruction.
As a result of those severe storms, Gov. Sanders requested a Major Disaster Declaration from President Trump to help support the ongoing recovery efforts within the communities that were impacted.
Officials say that the three people who died were from Independence County, and 32 more were injured in eight other counties.
At least 16 counties in the state have reported damage to ADEM with many of them being in the northeast section of the state.
