According to police, the shooting happened at an apartment complex 100 block of N 67th Street, near the intersection of Main Street and Power Road.
Police said Ballejos was “quickly” identified as the suspect in the shooting after investigators looked video surveillance footage.
According to police, locating Ballejos was “challenging.”
“During a phone call with investigators, Ballejos Jr agreed to turn himself in on April 11, 2025, but never showed,” police said.
He is facing a charge of second-degree murder, police said.
