Fantasy football 2024 rankings, draft prep: Model shares QB, RB, WR, TE picks, NFL cheat sheets, ADP, tiers

With the emergence of dual-threats in the NFL, not all of the top players in the 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings need to have elite receivers. Last season, only two of the top-five Fantasy football quarterbacks had a top-five Fantasy wide receivers, Dak Prescott and Jalen Hurts. Is it a wise 2024 Fantasy football strategy to stack those two to score additional points or should you diversify your 2024 Fantasy football picks across multiple teams? Tyreek Hill and Amon-Ra St. Brown finished as the WR2 and WR3 in the Fantasy football rankings last season and both their quarterbacks still finished in the top 10 for Fantasy football QBs.

Lamb, Brown, Hill and St. Brown will all likely be high atop many 2024 Fantasy football rankings, but where should each of them fall among your 2024 Fantasy football QB picks? If you’re looking for 2024 Fantasy football advice, be sure to check out the 2024 Fantasy football cheat sheets from the proven computer model at SportsLine.

Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle’s 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He’d go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he’d finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.

The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor’s monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it’s called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.

The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you’re always getting the best Fantasy football advice and the latest Fantasy football tiers.

Top 2024 Fantasy football QB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football QB picks:

1. Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills: After topping all QBs in Fantasy points in three of the last four years, and finishing second in the other, the Bills apparently don’t feel like they’re putting enough on Allen’s shoulders. Buffalo’s transactions at the WR position indicate they want even more of the offense to revolve around Allen, which could lead to his most productive season ever.

2. Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles: The 15 rushing TDs Hurts had last year were tied for the most by a QB in NFL history. He also set career-highs in both passing TDs (23) and passing yards (3,858) yet was deemed to have a down year. That should only provide extra motivation for Hurts to go out and set new career-highs across the board.

3. Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens: Jackson’s 3,678 passing yards last year were over 500 more than he had in any previous season. Now in his second year in OC Todd Monken’s offense, he has a great chance of topping that, and you can’t talk about Jackson without mentioning his running ability. He averaged over 50 rushing yards a game last year and says he lost weight this offseason to be even more elusive as a runner for the 2024 season. See more top QBs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football RB rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football RB picks:

1. Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers: McCaffrey would have been the model’s RB1 whether Aiyuk was back or not, but continuity in the San Francisco offense should mean great things for McCaffrey. The 28-year-old scored more than 100 points more than any other RB in PPR formats last season in part due to playing in arguably the best offense in the NFL. McCaffrey scored 21 touchdowns (14 rushing, seven receiving) with at least one score in 13 of 16 games and that consistency makes him the clear RB1 for the model.

2. Breece Hall, New York Jets: Hall was RB2 in Fantasy football with arguably the worst quarterback play in the NFL last season. The Jets were also riddled with injuries, which allowed defensive coordinators to focus the majority of their attention on slowing down Hall. And most of them still weren’t successful in that. Now with Aaron Rodgers taking over at quarterback, there should be significantly more open space and scoring opportunities for Hall, making him a top option for 2024 Fantasy football lineups.

3. Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles: Barkley was the man with the Giants, which has its positives and negatives for Fantasy football. The positives include heavy usage but the negative to that is defensive coordinators will spend all week trying to contain you. Insert Barkley into an offense with Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, now you have to worry about more than Barkley. The 27-year-old has finished as a top 10 RB on a points-per-game basis in back-to-back seasons and joins the best offense he’s ever played in and the model expects that to significantly boost his 2024 Fantasy football value. See more top RBs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football WR rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football WR picks:

1. CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys: With the drama of will or won’t Lamb play this season removed after signing a four-year, $136 million extension, any doubt of Lamb missing weeks over money is gone. He was the No. 1 scoring non-quarterback in PPR formats last season after leading the NFL in receptions (135) and ranking second in receiving yards (1,749). He’s the top option for Dak Prescott by a wide margin, so he should receive a huge target share again this season for a top NFL offense.

2. Tyreek Hill, Miami Dolphins: Hill led the NFL in receiving yards (1,799) and touchdowns (13) while averaging more than 100 receiving yards per game for the second straight season. The 30-year-old averaged 112.4 receiving yards per game last season and wasn’t doing so with boom-or-bust performances. Hill had at least 75 receiving yards in 12 of 16 games last season and after posting back-to-back seasons of at least 1,700 receiving yards, there’s no signs of him slowing down.

3. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions: Reliability is one of St. Brown’s biggest appeals as well as the Lions wideout had at least 90 yards in 11 of 16 games last year. He’s the clear WR1 in the Detroit passing attack as he had at least nine targets in 11 contests as well. The Lions have a favorable schedule in terms of environment, playing 14 of their 17 games indoors, and Jared Goff has performed much better indoors than outdoors, which would translate into better opportunities and production for St. Brown as well. See more top WRs here.

Top 2024 Fantasy football TE rankings

Here’s a look at SportsLine’s top three 2024 Fantasy football TE picks:

1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs: The media seemed pretty concerned that his relationship with Taylor Swift would be a distraction but it was an early-season ankle injury that served as a bigger sap on his production. However, he still caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games and then we saw vintage Kelce during the 2024 NFL Playoffs. He’s 34 now but he’s still the top option at tight end.

2. Sam LaPorta, Detroit Lions: A second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, LaPorta took the league by storm with 86 catches for 889 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie. His 16 red-zone targets ranked fourth among NFL tight ends and even if you’re expecting some touchdown regression, LaPorta has clearly established himself near the top of the heap at a thin position.

3. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens: Andrews missed seven games in 2023 with a cracked fibula. However, when he was on the field, he still ranked fourth among NFL tight ends in target share (22.2%) and that number cranked up to 37.8% in the red zone. He’s healthy entering this season and he should be a touchdown machine in a good Baltimore offense. See more top TEs here.
