UPDATE FROM WDTV: One person was killed in a house fire in Barbour County Friday.
The medical examiner responded to the home on Sand Run Road, 911 officials said. Another individual was flown to the hospital via Healthnet Aeromedical Services.
ORIGINAL: One person was flown to the hospital after a house fire in Barbour County Friday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 12:18 p.m. on Sand Run Road, according to Barbour County 911 officials.
HealthNet landed at Philip Barbour High School, and Barbour County Schools announced that there was no emergency at the school.
There is no word on the status of the person who was flown from the scene.
The Philippi, Belington, Junior, and Nutter Fort Fire Departments were alerted and/or responded.
