Harrison County Route 50 Accident Sees Three Taken for Medical Treatment, Heavy Damage to Vehicles


Multiple emergency service agencies responded to the scene of a wreck Tuesday afternoon, April 21, on U.S. Route 50 in western Harrison County.


 

Members of the Reynoldsville Fire Department reported they were dispatched for what turned out to be a two-vehicle accident at the Wolf Summit intersection of Roue 50. The dispatch came at 3:06 p.m. and was for an accident with injuries and entrapment.


 


Upon arrival, first responders found a two-vehicle collision that was in a T-bone format. The responders were also able to confirm entrapment. The RVFD said three patients were involved in the incident with two reported as unresponsive and one individual entrapped.


 


RVFD was able to use extrication tools to remove the individual entrapped from the wreck. All three individuals were taken from the scene for medical treatment by the Harrison County Emergency Squad.


 


A silver truck and silver SUV were involved in the incident and both had considerable damage. There was no work on the condition of the individuals.


 


Along with the Harrison County EMS, the Nutter Fort Volunteer Fire Department and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene. The Sheriff’s Office is overseeing the investigation. The Doddridge County Ambulance Authority also assisted crews on the scene.
