All campuses with the Bald Knob Public Schools system are reportedly on a lockdown due to a threat that was called in.
BALD KNOB, Ark. — All campuses with the Bald Knob Public Schools system are currently on a lockdown due to a threat that was called in.
According to reports from Superintendent Dr. Jed Davis, all campuses were put in a lockdown on May 13, 2026 after a threat was called in to the district.
There are officers stationed at each campus who are actively working to ensure the safety of both students and staff. However, officials urge that students and staff are safe at this time.
No students will be allowed to leave their campuses or be checked out during this time until the threat has been completely assessed and the lockdown is lifted.
In response to the incident, officials with Bald Knob Public Schools released the following statement via social media:
“Bald Knob School District is currently under lockdown after a threat was called in to the district. Law enforcement officers are stationed at every campus and are actively working to ensure the safety of all students and staff. At this time, our students and staff are safe.
Students will not be permitted to leave campus or be checked out until the threat has been fully assessed and the lockdown has been lifted by authorities.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remains our highest priority. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work closely with law enforcement to manage this situation.”
