Fire breaks out in empty AC coach of Hyderabad–Jaipur special train at Nampally

An empty air-conditioned coach of the Hyderabad–Jaipur special train (07020) caught fire on Thursday evening at Nampally (Hyderabad) station, a few hours before its scheduled departure at 7.50 p.m.

The incident occurred around 6.45 p.m. while the rake was being positioned on the platform. Railway officials said the fire was brought under control promptly.

Three fire engines were rushed to the spot and assisted in extinguishing the flames. The affected coach was subsequently detached from the train to prevent further risk, according to an official release. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the fire.
