City Employees will be flushing fire hydrants, weather permitting, Monday, May 18, 2026 through Friday, May 29, 2026, in the following areas of Bridgeport:

It is possible, but not likely, that residents may experience some discoloration, cloudy water, low pressure, or temporary loss of water service during this period. This is temporary and poses no health risk. If discolored water occurs, simply run the cold water for a few minutes until it’s clear. This will allow the sediment to work its way through your pipes.
The City will not be responsible for any damage caused by discolored water.
