If you’re an early riser just starting your day, here is what you need to know about the Thames Water supply issues:
– Thames Water has confirmed there are supply issues across southern England, with properties in east London, north west London, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire affected.
– In total, supply problems have hit 17 postcodes in those areas. You can see a full list of postcodes here.
-It appears separate issues have created the problems in east London, north west London, and the home counties.
-In London, burst water mains have been blamed for low water pressure.
– But in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, Thames Water says customers might have low pressure ‘due to exceptionally high demand during the recent hot weather’.
– Britain is waking up to the second day of its third heatwave this summer, with temperatures forecast to hit 33C in London, and pass the 30C mark in other water shortage areas.
– Thames Water has promised a new update on the situation by 10am on Thursday.
