Maher insists Trump ‘definitely going to lose’

Comedian and TV personality Bill Maher said Friday evening that he is confident former President Trump will lose to Vice President Harris in November.

ā€œIā€™m not even worried about it,ā€ he said of the election, now less than six weeks away, during a panel discussion on ā€œReal Time with Bill Maher.ā€

One of his guests, writer Fran Lebowitz, pressed him on the prediction, repeating ā€œYouā€™re not even worried about it?ā€

ā€œNo, not at all,ā€ Maher replied, adding ā€œHeā€™s definitely going to lose. You just feel it.ā€

The comedian reminded his guests that he had already predicted weeks before that Trumpā€™s chances of getting back into the White House were slim. In a similar segment on his show earlier this month, Maher said the former president was ā€œgoing to lose.ā€

At the time, he said he believes he has the credibility to make such a prediction because he had previously been labeled a ā€œTrump alarmistā€ and was convinced the former president still had a chance even after the release of theĀ ā€œAccess Hollywoodā€Ā tape in which Trump bragged about groping and kissing women without their consent.

Trump has blasted Maher recently for consistently including him as a talking point on his show, calling the host ā€œsloppy and tired.ā€

ā€œThe ratings challenged Bill Maher, on his increasingly boring show on HBO, is really having a hard time coping with TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME,ā€ TrumpĀ wroteĀ a week ago on his Truth Social platform. ā€œHe is a befuddled mess, sloppy and tired, and every conversation, with B and C list guests, seems to start with, or revert back to, ME!ā€Ā Ā

Harris currently has a 4.2 point lead over the former president ā€” 50 percent to 45.8 percent ā€” according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQā€™s polling index. But recent polling in key battleground states, where the election is likely to be determined, shows the party nominees virtually neck and neck.
