NEW DELHI: Congress National spokesperson Shama Mohamed on Tuesday congratulated Indian men’s cricket team on their win against Australia in the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. She also acknowledged Virat Kohli’s innings of 84 runs.
On her official social media account, Shama wrote, “Congratulations to team India for their spectacular victory against Australia in the semifinals of the Champions Trophy 2025. A big shout out to @imVkohli for scoring 84 and to be the first player to score 1000 runs in ICC knock out tournaments!”
Virat Kohli’s innings of 84 runs helped India secure a four-wicket win over Australia. India was at 43/2 while chasing 265 runs when Kohli played a key role in stabilizing the innings and guiding the team to victory.
Shama shared her message after India’s semi-final win. The team will now play final against the winner of the second semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand.
