Bridgeport Police Warn Residents of Ongoing Scam

The Bridgeport Police are warning residents of a recent scam. An individual posing as a Bridgeport Officer was requesting an individuals’s credit card information over the phone.


 


Officers from Bridgeport Police Department do not ask for personal credit card information, especially over the phone. The city police want to remind everyone to not provide credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other similar information with individuals claiming to be Bridgeport Police officers over the phone.


 


If you receive any suspicious calls you can report them to Bridgeport Police Department at 304-842-8260 to verify.
