CASS provides valuable resources to those who are unhoused in Arizona. Here’s how you can help.

The provider has several shelters across the Valley, offering multiple services to people in need.

PHOENIX — CASS, or Central Arizona Shelter Services, helps provide temporary shelter to 4,000 individuals a year. It’s an important resource here in the Valley for those who are unhoused.

Each day, the 600 beds at CASS’s adult shelter are full. The family and senior shelters are also usually near maximum capacity. Stanton, who’s a chief program officer with CASS, said the need is only growing.

12News is partnering with CASS to help raise funds to continue helping those in need.

Thursday, April 30, 12News and CASS will be hosting a telethon to keep valuable programs running.

Community members can donate by calling 602-362-0677 or online at CASSAZ.ORG.

The phones will go live at 5:30 a.m.

For more than 40 years, the services offered through CASS have helped people find their footing with a variety of things, like work and legal assistance.

For many, CASS is life-changing and helps guide people through their sometimes darkest days.

The organization is a first step, one that helps people look past the hardship and focus on their future.
