Rural Metro firefighters rescued one dog from the Johnson Ranch home, two others got out on their own.
SAN TAN VALLEY, Ariz. — Firefighters rescued a dog from a garage fire started by an e-scooter Tuesday, according to Rural Metro.

Crews were called to a home in Johnson Ranch around 2:30 a.m. for reports of a garage fire.
The homeowners narrowly escaped and firefighters rescued a dog. Two other dogs were able to get out on their own.
Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the garage and extending into a second-story bedroom and the attic.
One person was treated for smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital.
Investigators believe the fire was started by an e-scooter that was charging in the garage.
