First Dive-In Movie at Bridgeport City Pool Set Tonight

Bridgeport Parks and Recreation will be holding its first Dive-In Movie of 2026, and it will be a movie chosen earlier this summer by members of the community.

This evening, Friday, July 17, swimming runs from 7 p.m. to 8:50 p.m. with the movie set to begin at dark. Once darkness arrives, the movie will be shown on the 20×16 screen that you can watch floating in the pool, from a lounge chair, or lying on a towel.

The movie? The community chose the 2025 movie Lilo & Stitch. The movie beat out Rio, Penguins of Madagascar, and The Little Mermaid.

Those who voted, or even those who did not vote, are welcome to attend the movie tonight. Etnry to the movie is included as part of a valid pool pass or $3.50.

There is also more than just the movie. Parks and Recreation staff have announced the evening will include themed decorations, games, music, a photo booth and more.
