GLENDALE, Ariz. — A 38-year-old man with a machete and a bat who injured people in Glendale has been taken into custody, according to officials with the city’s police department.

The “first call of many” came into Glendale police at 7:55 p.m. Callers said the man with the bat and machete was trying to injure people near 43rd Avenue and Camelback Road, police said.
“The armed subject in this case was fleeing and running around a mobile home park and jumping over walls,” Glendale police officials said in a statement.
Police set up a perimeter to help find the suspect.
Police said there “are victims with non-life-threatening injuries” who do not want to prosecute. Another victim was contacted who told police they would like to press charges, officials said.
