LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Graduations, grilling, and giving back mean summer is almost here!  In Central Arkansas, various community groups have created ways to get involved for the weekend of May 15. 

Here are all the ways you can give back this weekend and keep the Natural State great!

Arkansas Game and Fish Commission youth shooting volunteer  

When: May 16, 2026, starting at 8 a.m.

Where: Jacksonville Shooting Complex, 2800 Graham Road, Jacksonville.

Volunteer cleanup at The Haven of Rest Cemetery

When: May 16, 2026, starting at 11 a.m. Volunteers may contact owner Percy Webb for further information at (501) 837-7880 or (501) 753-8304.

Where: The Haven of Rest Cemetery at 7102 W. 12th Street.

Service Saturdays at the Arkansas Food Bank

When: Arkansas Food Bank will host recurring Service Saturdays from May 16 through July 25, with multiple shift times available upon signup.

Where: 4301 West 65 Street, Little Rock.

Daughters of The American Revolution Drive-Thru Food Drive

When: May 16, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: On the corner of North Market and Sevier Street on the grounds of First United Methodist Church in Benton.

Volunteer with Caring Hands Hospice In Batesville

When: Different volunteer shifts will be available after contacting the organization’s office at (870)-698-0505.

Where: 2000 Harrison Street, Suite E, Batesville.
