Authorities in Hot Spring County have identified remains found in March 2026 as a person who went missing in 2021.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Authorities have identified some human remains that were found in Hot Spring County on March 6, 2026.
The Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office initially sent investigators to a remote area of the county, where they confirmed that the remains were human.
The Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office said the Arkansas State Crime Lab identified the remains as Michael Blane Cockman, who was reported missing in 2021.
The investigation remains ongoing and active. Authorities stated that no further information is being released at this time.
