Huntsville police are searching for someone who shot a woman Friday as she was running away.
WAAY reported that officers arrived at the 5200 block of Galaxy Way Friday night. They found blood in the parking lot before locating the victim at a hospital, where she was being treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
According to the victim, she confronted people inside her apartment who then assaulted her. She heard gunshots as she ran away.
The HPD Violent Crimes Unit is investigating the case.
