The intersection of Guadalupe and Recker roads was closed on Friday night due to a crash. Here’s the latest information.
GILBERT, Ariz. — A crash has led a busy intersection in Gilbert to close in all directions, according to the Gilbert Police Department.
GPD posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) at about 8:30 p.m. on Friday that the intersection of Guadalupe and Recker roads was closed.

GPD told 12News that a car hit a motorcycle and that the person who was riding the motorcycle, only identified as a 24-year-old, was seriously hurt, but their injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
The motorcyclist is currently being treated at a nearby hospital.
Police said that impairment does not appear to be a factor in this crash.
The intersection is closed so Traffic Reconstruction Unit detectives can investigate the crash. GPD is asking drivers to avoid the area and find alternate routes to their destination.
The department did not say when they believe the intersection will reopen.
