Police arrest 2 men in deadly Conway park shooting, search for 2 more suspect

Conway police announced that two people are in custody and two other suspects are being searched for in connection a deadly mass shooting on April 13.

CONWAY, Ark. — Conway police announced during a press conference on April 25 that two people are currently in custody and two other suspects are being searched for in connection a deadly mass shooting on April 13. 

Authorities shared that 20-year-old Ryan Goins of Pine Bluff and 19-year-old Tyler Ferris of Conway are both in custody in connection to the deadly incident. 

Goins is being charged with 11 counts of aggravated assault, while Ferris is facing 2 counts of capital murder, 1 count of terrorism, and 9 counts of attempted capital murder. 

There are currently warrants out for two other people. Police are searching for Keydrick Johnson and Kemarie Johnson. Both are wanted on several charges including for capital murder and terrorism.

Authorities said that the incident happened during the evening on April 13, with 73 rounds being fired amongst 7 different weapons. 

The incident resulted in two people being fatally shot and nine other people suffering gunshot wounds as a result. 

Back on April 15, Conway police held an initial press conference where they discussed the incident. 

City officials like Mayor Bart Castleberry and Police Chief Chris Harris addressed those in attendance. 

It’s at that press conference where Castleberry acknowledged that the event at the park was planned by a promoter who wasn’t from Conway. He also said people from out of town were at the event along with residents of the city.
