MOUNT IDA, Ark. — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) on Saturday, June 7 with a missing a person’s case.
According to officials, CID agents found evidence of foul play. A suspect was identified and taken into custody. Human remains were found near the suspect’s property in Mount Ida.
Officials said the suspect, whose identity has not been released, was charged with second-degree battery, kidnapping and tampering with physical evidence.
ASP is also asking for the public’s help in locating a black 2011 GMC Terrain with Arkansas plates reading AEV 26R. Anyone with information about the vehicle’s location should contact ASP Troop K at (501) 767-8550.
