Last week, on Tuesday, July 7, was a milestone for Community Care of West Virginia, which has a location at Charles Pointe in Bridgeport, as the organization officially broke ground on our new 40,000-square-foot Integrated Health & Education Center in Buckhannon.
This project has been years in the making, and officials involved were thrilled to see this vision becoming a reality. Community care leaders were thankful to Buckhannon, Upshur County, and state officials, along with local leaders, CCWV board members, partners, and everyone who were on hand for the ceremony.
This new facility will expand access to high-quality healthcare and educational opportunities for residents of Upshur County and surrounding communities, featuring an expanded pharmacy with a drive-thru, state-of-the-art clinical space for primary care, behavioral health, and pediatrics, an outpatient laboratory, and a dedicated floor for education and workforce development.
The building, which will be four-stories, will be located at 25 North Kanawha Street.
Construction is scheduled to begin in August.
