S. Sathish is Ernakulam district secretary of CPI(M)

S. Sathish, a State committee member of the Communist Party of India Marxist [CPI(M)], was elected as its Ernakulam district secretary.

He succeeds C.N. Mohanan, who was recently elected as the State secretariat member of the party. Mr. Sathish is at present the vice chairperson of the State Youth Welfare Board.

A meeting of the party, which was held in the presence of State secretary M.V. Govindan and central committee member P. Rajeeve, also elected a 12-member district secretariat. Besides a few State secretariat members, State committee members of the organisation from the district were also present.

M. Anilkumar, a State committee member, presided.

Mr. Sathish had also served as the State president and national vice president of the Democratic Youth Federation of India.
