Schools in Central Arkansas implement schedule changes due to exteme weather

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: Pine Bluff High School (Jack Robery Campus) will be closed on Friday, April 4 due to flooding.

A front is set to make its way to Arkansas and bring along heavy rains, storms, and the potential for flooding in flood-prone areas.

Due to the incoming weather conditions, a Weather Impact Alert has been issued by our THV11 meteorology team for Wednesday-Friday with the expectation of strong to severe storms becoming more likely and also excessive rainfall.

Since severe weather is projected to impact the state, several school districts in Central Arkansas have now issued statements saying that there will be early dismissals or the cancellation of after-school activities.
