Several Harrison County Students, including Multiple from Bridgeport, Shine at Regional Social Studies Fair


Harrison County Schools is proud to share the success of students who placed at the Regional Social Studies Fair held on April 7, 2026, at Glenville State University.


 


Region VII includes Barbour, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, and Upshur counties. Students from across the region came together to present projects and compete.


 


Harrison County students earned top honors in many categories. Their projects showed strong research, creative thinking, and a deep understanding of social studies topics.


 


Only first-place regional winners move on to the state level. The 2026 West Virginia State Social Studies Fair will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center.
