Upon initiating the traffic stop law enforcement apprehended this individual due to an outstanding arrest warrant. As part of standard procedure for officer safety, he was searched prior to being placed in the patrol car. During this search, officers discovered a blue narcotic smoking device in the individual’s front right pocket, which provided probable cause of a subsequent search of the vehicle.
The search yielded significant findings: 42 white paper packages, each containing approximately five rubber-banded bundles, were found inside the vehicle. Each bundle contained 10 blue paper stamps suspected to hold a white powdery substance identified as suspected fentanyl. In total, authorities seized around 2,100 suspected fentanyl stamps with an estimated street value of $42,000.
Both the driver of the vehicle and the know wanted individua were arrested and taken to Central Regional Jail where they await further legal proceedings.
