President Donald Trump on Friday called for Ukraine and Russia to meet for high-level talks, adding that they were “very close to a deal”. Trump posted on his Truth Social web site shortly after arriving in Rome late Friday to attend the funeral of Pope Francis that was a “good day in talks and meetings with Russia and Ukraine”.
