Two Arkansas men have been arrested in Texas for their connection to a murder on September 23, 2025.
PINE BLUFF, Ark — On April 16, 2026, two Arkansas men were arrested for involvement in a murder that took place on September 23, 2025, in Pine Bluff.
Thomaz Johnson and associate Vanjarius Powell were located and are currently in police custody in Fort Worth, Texas.
After extradition to the Jefferson County jail, Johnson will be booked for the Capital Murder of Jimmy Epperson Jr.
Powell, who is wanted out of Pine Bluff and Jefferson County, will be charged with unrelated felony warrants.
This arrest was conducted by the Pine Bluff Police Department, in collaboration with the F.B.I., U.S. Marshals, and law enforcement agencies in Fort Worth, Texas.
