According to WDTV, two people have been arrested and charged after an 11-year-old boy died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Marion County.
Tammy Lee, 54, and James Smock, 56, have each been charged with child neglect resulting in death, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the 11-year-old boy died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound from an unsecured and unsupervised firearm early Monday morning on Powell Road in Fairmont.
Lee and Smock are currently in the custody’s of the sheriff’s office & awaiting arraignment.
