FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — Arkansas baseball (6-1) shortshop Wehiwa Aloy has earned SEC Player of the Week honors after a strong offensive performance over the past four games.
Aloy had two home runs and five RBIs over four games on the week including the series finale against Washington State and in the wins over TCU and Michigan.
The junior shortstop recorded three multi-hit games highlighted by a career high tying four-hit effort in the win over Michigan Sunday afternoon.
Aloy hit his first home run of the season in the opener at Globe Life Field against Kansas State on Feb. 21. His younger brother, Kuhio, also homered in the same inning.
Aloy and the Razorbacks will be back in action Tuesday to host Grambling. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. on the SEC Network+.
